We have been staying at Red Rock Lodge in September every year since 2012, with the exception of the Covid year. It is by far the best place we have ever stayed at. So quiet and peaceful by the lake. We love eating breakfast on the patio while watching the pelicans in the lake. The firepit is awesome, the patio hot tub is awesome, the three bedrooms, two and a half baths, living room, dining room, complete kitchen with even a toaster, is awesome; But most of all the hosts, Carol and Larry, are super awesome. They make one feel so welcome, as if they were welcoming family into their home. I have always said Red Rock Lodging is the best kept secret in all of Iowa for if more people knew of it the Lodge would be booked years in advance.

Just returned from wonderful weekend . This was our second time at Red Rock Lodging. it was jut as relaxing and beautiful as the first time. SOOOOO beautiful and relaxing. hope to enjoy many more in the years to come.

Back for year 2! This was our second visit and we will continue to make it a family weekend destination. I am so thankful we found this spot, it truly is beautiful and relaxing, even with the kids! I will continue to recommend to anyone and everyone I know. Thank you so much Carol.

We enjoyed a very nice, relaxing, and quiet weekend. The views were outstanding. Full moon on the lake. Bald eagles flying, fish jumping, abundant birds singing, and a fox running. What more could we ask for? The rooms were spacious and super clean. The pictures do not do justice to how nice the lodge really is. A perfect get-away. The only problem was that we couldn't stay longer. 🙂

Red Rock Lodging is tranquil destination with wonderful lakefront views of Iowa’s largest lake. It’s just fun to drive the golf cart from your car to the front door of the immaculate, spacious and well appointed 3 bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bath lodge. The hot tub and whirlpool are great. Free range chickens roam the idyllic property. You can cook indoors in the large kitchen, grill outside, have a lakeside campfire and rent kayaks from the hosts. It’s about 15 to 20 minute drive north on 14 and east to G28 to historic and beautiful Pella, and even closer drive south on 14 to Knoxville. (Take Hayes off 14 and then 146th to Red Rock Lodging. It’s worth the short drive on the gravel road.)

My two friends and I decided on a weekend getaway at Red Rock Lodging. Our place was gorgeous and right on the lake. We absolutely had the best time and plan on making this an annual trip. 2 thumbs up and 5 stars!

Beautiful! Clean, hot tub, whirlpool tub, amazing all around. Right by the lake, close to hiking trails. Will be back for sure!

Such a wonderful place! Larry and Carrol are so accommodating and provide a beautiful place to stay. The house is on the prime spot of the lake for us, great for skiing and water sports! Love coming here and will be back soon. Thank you so much for another awesome vacation at red rock lodging!!!!

This is an amazing place to stay on Red Rock. Beautiful view of the lake, great fishing, and peaceful surroundings. The house is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We love it here and will be back for many more years!

WOW, WOW, WOW! That's about all I can say! We had the best time here at your beautiful home. Being here was exactly what the Dr. ordered for a busy family of four!We will for sure be back!
