Red Rock Lodging is tranquil destination with wonderful lakefront views of Iowa’s largest lake. It’s just fun to drive the golf cart from your car to the front door of the immaculate, spacious and well appointed 3 bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bath lodge. The hot tub and whirlpool are great. Free range chickens roam the idyllic property. You can cook indoors in the large kitchen, grill outside, have a lakeside campfire and rent kayaks from the hosts. It’s about 15 to 20 minute drive north on 14 and east to G28 to historic and beautiful Pella, and even closer drive south on 14 to Knoxville. (Take Hayes off 14 and then 146th to Red Rock Lodging. It’s worth the short drive on the gravel road.)
