We have been staying at Red Rock Lodge in September every year since 2012, with the exception of the Covid year. It is by far the best place we have ever stayed at. So quiet and peaceful by the lake. We love eating breakfast on the patio while watching the pelicans in the lake. The firepit is awesome, the patio hot tub is awesome, the three bedrooms, two and a half baths, living room, dining room, complete kitchen with even a toaster, is awesome; But most of all the hosts, Carol and Larry, are super awesome. They make one feel so welcome, as if they were welcoming family into their home. I have always said Red Rock Lodging is the best kept secret in all of Iowa for if more people knew of it the Lodge would be booked years in advance.
